Men are supposed to fight for their woman.
Not necessarily in a physical way. To be the man who never gives up, the man who loves her through all seasons of life. The man who never ceases to pursue her, to take joy in getting to know her more. The man who serves and gives himself even when he does not get the expected result. The man who knows when to be quiet, and when to speak. The man who is gracious and humble, willing to apologize when he has wronged his beloved. The man who protects her from wolves, who stands up for her dignity and strives to drive her forward in what gives her deepest joy. The man who seeks out new ways to help her grow in life, in truth and in love. The man who puts her before himself in all things. To be the man who loves his wife, as Christ has loved his Church; that he gave himself up for her. That is what a man should be, a reflection of our Jesus, and nothing else will ever suffice.
I want to be this for my wife. Correction: I will be this for my wife.
